Mastering Rust Raid Math
Raiding is the endgame of Rust, but farming sulfur takes hours of grinding. Knowing exactly what explosives you need to bring to a raid is crucial to avoid running out halfway through, or worse, wasting precious resources. Our Rust Raid Calculator uses the latest vanilla Rust damage values to give you the exact numbers.
Sulfur Efficiency
Not all explosives are created equal. Depending on what you are hitting, different explosives yield vastly different sulfur efficiencies.
- Doors: Explosive 5.56 Rifle Ammo is almost always the cheapest way to break doors in terms of pure sulfur, but it degrades your weapon quickly.
- Walls: C4 and Rockets are much better for hard-side walls. Rockets have splash damage, meaning if you aim between 4 walls, you can damage them all at once!
Standard Sulfur Costs
Our calculator bases its total sulfur costs on the vanilla crafting requirements for each item (assuming you have the blueprints):
- Timed Explosive (C4): 2,200 Sulfur
- Rocket: 1,400 Sulfur
- Satchel Charge: 480 Sulfur
- Explosive Ammo: 25 Sulfur (per bullet)
Note: Calculations are based on pure usage of one explosive type. In practice, players often mix methods (e.g., 1 C4 + 40 Explo Ammo for a Garage Door).
