FLAMES is a popular childhood game used to predict the relationship compatibility between two people based purely on their names. While it's completely unscientific and played purely for fun, millions of school children around the world have scribbled names in their notebooks to find out their destiny.

What does FLAMES stand for?
The acronym FLAMES represents six possible relationship outcomes:
- F - Friends
- L - Lovers
- A - Affection
- M - Marriage
- E - Enemies
- S - Siblings
How does the calculator work?
If you were playing with a pen and paper, here is exactly what the calculator is doing behind the scenes:
- Write down both names and remove any spaces.
- Cross out every letter that both names share in common.
- Count the total number of letters left over. Let's call this number N.
- Write down F-L-A-M-E-S. Start counting from F, and when you reach the number N, cross out that letter.
- Continue counting from the next letter, wrapping around the remaining letters, crossing out the Nth letter each time until only one letter remains.
